Lately I have been working towards developing a character to include with some of my graffiti work. Erik and John are the first to own some of the penguins, I love the way this little scene turned out and I think we’ll be continuing on with more penguins in the garage.

The pop art series’ always seem to generate a lot of interest, but the pieces themselves are priced out of most peoples price ranges. Now, in an effort to generate a bit of cash flow and get my art into more peoples lives, I’m offering limited edition prints. Currently I have Bob Dylan, Slash, Steven Tyler and Bob Marley available in print form. While previews of the first three are seen below, the Bob Marley original is awaiting an unveiling party and previews will not be available until Mid-September.

Here is a new Graffiti on Canvas piece for my friend Matty. He just moved back to Portland and had to outfit the new digs with some custom graffiti so I hooked him up with a helping of the Steez.

MYNT, Graffiti Mural for Seattle area Salon

Here are some shots of the Mural I just dropped on Mynt Salon just outside Seattle. Painted this one with Ironlak paint, I’m thinking Ironlak may be my staple paint for a while. At a buck cheaper a can than montana hardcore – it’s easier to purchase. I have to change tips to get dialed in, the tips that I favor on Montana don’t really work on the Ironlak.

Here are two new pieces currently drying after my day of painting today. Recently I have made the switch to real graffiti paint from Home Depot’s standard Rusto. The first couple attempts – Sweat 360 and various other works have helped me identify the amazing benefits of Montana paint. The low pressure valve and the right tips are giving me confidence I have only dreamed about before. Tomorrow I conquer a big wall, stay tuned.

New wood Panel for Ground show

I have a graffiti wood panel show going up in Ground coffee in hood river next week, two of the old pieces from the Branch show and this new piece I just finished. The fourth panel remains to be chosen.

New Abstract work

I got a couple great wood panels from Jeff a while back and just loved the wood he used. I asked him to to give me all the rest of it, even down to smaller pieces. I just painted a couple new abstracts: check ‘em out! I LOVE the white one, when I just had tape on it Kim said it looked like piano keys. I carried the inspiration through to the end and have a feeling this one won’t stick around after it goes out to show.

I like twitter, sometimes I LOVE twitter. I follow Hotel Max (@HotelMax) and am thoroughly excited for my first stay at the end of this week. Friday afternoon I saw a re-tweet by a friend of hotel max; a local massage therapist (@carissang)

Art in Hand – 4 of Spades

Art in hand is a cool project. Take 54 artists, have them create original art for a unique deck of cards then auction the original pieces and donate the proceeds to charity! Charity of my choice was humane society for the life saving response for Starsky cat.

Of course my piece has SIMPLE strewn about. Here was my process…. Plan, Tape, spray paint, untape, sharpie, clear coat, pictures. I have seen most of the final work in a super secret facebook group – I assure you this is a very cool very unique deck of cards. Glad to be a part of this projcet.
