Creative Adventures in Portland

Community Warehouse is a Portland non-profit that aids in household good distribution for those in need locally.  For the last few years they put on an event called the Chair Affair.  Local artists paint donated chairs and auction them off at an event in Spring that accounts for a substantial amount of the Community Warehouse operating budget.  Kim got connected to the Chair Affair last year and had a great time, see last years chairs here - this year I was ahead of the curve and able to participate.  Below is my chair, now it’s idea time.  This will be a fun challenge.  I really wanted to do a graffiti theme chair at first, Kim is steadily convincing me it’s not the right crowd for this direction.  I want to incorporate the retro vibe somehow.  Kim says I need a theme, a direction – consider the owner.  She’s my style counselor!  I think this chair may need to be accompanied with a pillow – a chance for collaboration with Kim – fun fun.  I’ll update as more develops.
