Creative Adventures in Portland

I had a chance on friday to jam out a riff I have had kicking in my head for a while.  The following track consists of two rhythm sections and a lead section on guitar – looped, then I hit record and bumped out the beat on the drum kit.  Then I overdubbed the bass line.  The song has no form, and was recorded in my home “studio” in my basement on a typical oregon spring day where rain and sun battle for attention.

Let me know if you like, loathe or simply just don’t like this track.  Any help from someone who knows anything about recording would be great – I’d like my next attempt to sound a little better.  I think I need better microphones..
